Prosthesis by TD-Vice Prosthesis by TD-Vice
Realistic cybernetic prosthesis conceptualizing. Trying to veer off slick and futuristic and apply a more plausible design based on actual working bionics these days.

Havent done technical concept sketches in a while

I can imagine the attachments at the shoulder getting sore. Would probably require part replacments to avoid infection.

Is there a reasoning for using tubes for the upper arm?
I see no actual "base" for it, so they're probably hydraulic, but it seems hard to make accurate movements with. That, or I'm missing something.

Yes, its hydraulics. It makes sense for the upper arm, because the accuracy of the shoulders movement there is dependent on the joint more than on muscle, the muscle is for strength there.

And is it just a sketch, or the operator's arm?

Looks indeed very realistic, and the yellow accents are cool.

I like this one a lot! I've found I enjoy futuristic stuff that is kind of grounded in todays tech, mostly because it makes me optimistic about the level of stuff we could see. I can totally imagine having one of these 30 years in the future, so thank you for a well made glimpse into a potential future!
